Tervis Tumblers

It’s 1946. Detroit. Engineers Frank Cotter and G. Howlett Davis harnessed the natural insulating powers of air to create a permanently sealed, double-walled tumbler. Combining the last three letters of each of their last names, Cotter and Davis dubbed their new cup brand “Tervis.” In the years to follow, they worked hard to refine and improve their designs. The original tall, cylindrical tumbler was refined and improved—evolving into several sizes. Tervis tumblers are great for both hot and cold, have a lifetime guarantee, are virtually unbreakable, reduce condensation and are dishwasher safe.

Scuttlebutt has lids, straws and handles and tumblers in four sizes. Many other nautical designs are available at the shop, including, pirate bones, pirate swords, sea turtle, seagull, mermaid, captain, first mate, Adirondack chair and more.
